SELECTED PHOTOGRAPHIC WORKS
I have been taking photographs since mid-1990s. My works cross genres and technologies, and I use mobile and digital as well as analogue camera and processes. I have been teaching photography at secondary and tertiary levels, and facilitating workshops for teachers, students and community groups, since 2008.
Since 2012, I have been working with iPads as they enable me to capture and edit images on the go. In 2015, I have published a best-selling interactive iBook on the subject books.apple.com/us/book/ipad-for-photography-students/id970982872?ls=1 and started an Instagram page for iPad & iPhone captures www.instagram.com/vanjaradisic_photography/?hl=en
MIGRATING LIGHTS 2019
Digital photographic prints, 45 x 155cm
Exhibited at SPACETIME, TAP 2019, studioFIVE, MGSE, University of Melbourne
I take most of my images while walking or taking public transport, and these are no different. They were captured with iPhone 6s and NightCap Pro long exposure app in winter 2019 on the 767 bus home from work at Deakin Art Gallery in Burwood. I have been capturing images on the go as a way of keeping up my practice without breaking daily routine or needing extra time & space to be creative.
MIGRATING LIGHTS is about that ongoing, repetitive process of moving between two points in space and time over and over again.
